On Akademika Korolyova Street, opposite the Kyiv District Administration, an art installation called “Pedestal” has appeared



According to the author, Andriy Lyubov, the work is dedicated to “the most important person in Ukraine.” To understand who that is, one can stand on the pedestal and read the inscription on the stone: “This is me” and “Human is a work of art.”

It is a cube of perfect shape, supported by a monumental hand

The cube is made of a mineral called Labradorite

It is believed that this stone enhances creative abilities and unveils hidden talents

The size of the pedestal is one cubic meter

The installation encourages interaction with the viewer — the fingers of the hand serve as symbolic stairs, allowing anyone who wishes to climb onto the pedestal

Over 50 people from Odesa, Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Lviv were involved in the creation of the sculpture. The sculptor organized workshops where everyone could create their own version of the work. In this way, the sculpture itself became interactive, as well as the process of its creation
