Key of Recognition
The smallest sculpture of Odessa.
The monument, depicting the legendary “key to the apartment where the money is”, was unveiled on April 13, 2018, in Odessa on Ilf and Petrov Street. Its location, unlike previous sculptures, is far from the city center and tourist
spots.
Its length is 28 centimeters. The official name of the monument is “Key of Recognition,” created by Andriy Lyubov.
During the opening, a small performance was staged with the participation of Ostap Bender, a janitor, and a homeless person.
Made of bronze

The sculpture features details in the form of a musical clef, a heart, and also the abbreviated inscription “SV,” which stands for “Happiness to You”

It is worth noting that the “Key of Recognition” is not the first key sculpture in Ukraine dedicated to the novel The Twelve Chairs. Long before its creation, the famous “Key to the apartment where the money lies” was immortalized in Vinnytsia, with a four-meter sculpture installed on the Uman highway near the city.
